Two things decide where a game sits on the board: what the dev paid and how many real players back it. Here's the full breakdown.
Paste a game link, pick a dollar amount, pay through Stripe. Your game appears on the leaderboard ranked by total bid. No account needed, no approval process.
Bids stack. Pay $3 today, add $2 next week, your ranking is based on $5. Minimum bid is $1. There's no maximum.
utm_source=outlvl so you can track exactly what traffic we send. Steam supports this through Steamworks analytics.Submit the same URL again with a higher amount. The new bid adds on top of what you've already paid. If you bid $5 and later bid $3, your total is $8. Nobody else can hijack your listing by paying on your URL.
Community support pushes a game higher than its bid alone. A $10 game with 40 verified owners will outrank a $10 game with zero. This is the part that makes outlvl different from every other pay-to-rank board.
Anyone can like a game, once per day. No login needed. Likes are social proof. They show that people noticed a game, but they don't affect the ranking formula. Pure vanity metric.
Connect your Steam account and hit "Boost" on any Steam game. We check your library through the Steam API. If you own the game, we pull your playtime and achievement data. That verified ownership is what actually affects the ranking.
effective_score = (bid + backer_bonus + hours_bonus) × achievement_multiplierEach verified owner adds $0.25 to the effective score. A game with 20 verified owners gets a $5.00 boost on top of whatever was bid.
Each play hour from a verified owner adds $0.05. Capped at 100 hours per person to prevent idle farming. A player with 60 hours adds $3.00.
Based on the average achievement completion across all verified owners of that game.
A game with a $10 bid, 8 verified owners averaging 45 play hours total and 60% average achievement completion:
($10.00 + $2.00 + $2.25) × 1.2 = $17.10 effective
That $10 bid performs like $17.10 on the board. A competitor would need to bid over $17.10 (with no boosts) to outrank it.
